UNHRC

The United Nations Human Rights Council consists of 47 countries for a 3-year-term elected by the General Assembly.

The responsibilities of the UNHRC are amongst other things

strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe,

addressing and taking action on human rights violations by making recommendations, and

discussing country-specific issues which require the attention of the United Nations.

The UNHRC at HUGMUN is a BEGINNERS committee and will be a good choice for all delegates who have little or no experience with MUN.
